Thank you message from Fin Donnelly

Dear friends,

Thank you for putting your trust in me to represent our community in the House of Commons. I promise you that I’m going to honour that trust by putting our community first and by being the strong voice this community deserves.

I’m going to put forward thoughtful and considered proposals for our community and our country. I’m not going to Ottawa to oppose just for the sake of opposition.

I’m going to work to get results by speaking out on vital issues – and proposing solutions. Like my call for a judicial inquiry into the collapse of the sockeye salmon in the Fraser River.

But make no mistake, when the moment demands opposition, I won’t be afraid to take a stand.

That’s why my first focus will be making this community’s overwhelming opposition to the HST heard in Ottawa. We all know just how unfair this tax grab is – just how hard it’s going to hit families. You have my word that Mr. Harper and his Conservatives are going to hear about it from me.

I look forward to working with you to fulfill the needs of our community.
Like making our streets safer and building a sustainable future, with funding for public transit, green jobs and environmental protections.

There’s a lot of work that needs to be done and I can’t wait to get started.
