Save Our Wild Salmon

Dear Fin,

I am writing to express my support for your Bill C-518:

This legislation protects British Columbia’s wild salmon by strengthening the Fisheries Act to require fish farms operating on BC’s coast to make the transition to closed containment systems.

It requires that:
1. All commercial finfish aquaculture in BC be carried out in closed containment facilities.
2. The Minister of Fisheries and Oceans prepare, table and implement a closed containment transition plan.
3. Jobs be protected.
