(New Westminster - Coquitlam) Fin Donnelly, NDP candidate for the federal riding of New
Westminster-Coquitlam and Port Moody, officially launched his new campaign website today.
“I am pleased that features such as Facebook, Twitter, and on-line video will allow me to
communicate with the largest number of voters possible,” said Donnelly.
The website also includes a quickly growing list of endorsements from community leaders and
constituents like MLA Dawn Black (New Westminster), MLA Diane Thorne (Coquitlam –Maillardville),
former MLA John Cashore, New Westminster Councillor Jonathan X. Cote, former Port Moody Mayor
David Driscoll, Port Moody Councillor Karen Rockwell, Coquitlam Councillor Selina Robinson, former
Coquitlam Councillor Neal Nicholson.
“From one end of the riding to the other, I have been honoured by the support I have received from so
many people that have contributed in such significant ways to making our communities a better
place”, said Donnelly.
Fin Donnelly was nominated by NDP members on June 28th.
Fin has served seven years on Coquitlam City Council. He is the Executive Director of Rivershed
Society of B.C. Fin was born in New Westminster, grew up in Port Moody, and lives in Coquitlam with
his wife Lynda.
The New Westminster-Coquitlam-Port Moody by-election must be called by October 13, 2009.
