Vancouver – Federal NDP candidate Fin Donnelly joined NDP Leader Jack Layton, and MP Bill
Siksay in this year’s Pride Parade held today.
“I am pleased to be joined by so many people from New Westminster, Coquitlam and Port Moody who
came out to celebrate Gay Pride”, said Donnelly.
“I am proud to show my support for the community and I am proud to be a part of the NDP which has
long fought for LGBTT rights in the House of Commons”, Donnelly said.
Donnelly, Layton and Siksay marched alongside MLAs, Mike Farnworth, Kathy Corrigan, Shane
Simpson, Mable Elmore, Raj Chouhan, Nicholas Simons and Spencer Herbert.
The parade concluded with a festival at Sunset Beach where Jack Layton outlined the NDP’s
continued commitment to tolerance, respect and LGBTT rights to an enthusiastic crowd.
