Town Hall Reports
Dear Neighbours
Thank you to all those who attended my town hall meetings or wrote in with suggestions. A wide variety of topics were covered during this year's consultation, with many of you presenting your vision for a healthier, more sustainable Canada.
In this report, we compiled a full range of the issues raised as well as my thoughts and proposed actions.
In particular, several key actions came out of the meetings that have helped shape my legislative work in Parliament.
These actions include: seconding a private member’s bill calling for a National Transit Strategy; calling on the government to reinstate the ecoEnergy Retrofit Program; investigating the age restriction on the Registered Disability Savings Plan; calling on the Minister of Health to stop the erosion and further privatization of our healthcare system; and seconding a motion putting the abolition of the Senate to a nationwide referendum.
This year, I was pleased by the informed level of debate and discussion during the town hall meetings. Many of you presented concrete and creative proposals. Please continue to write to me or call my office with your input – I appreciate it.
Sincerely,

Fin Donnelly, MP
