In response to the devastating earthquake in Haiti I would like to express my profound sadness at the terrible loss of life and the enormous human tragedy that continues to unfold. The overwhelming infrastructure destruction means Haitians face a desperate shortage of the most basic human needs, including food and potable drinking water. My office has received many calls from British Columbians who want to help. I am passing along contact information for those of you who are wanting to contribute to the relief effort.
